Matteo Mencarelli is an Italian portrait and lifestyle photographer currently based in Sofia, Bulgaria.
Born and raised in Rome in the heart of the 1980s, Matteo went on to pursue a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto and later moved to London where he received a Master's degree in International Studies and Diplomacy from the School of Oriental and African Studies.
Before moving to the UK, Matteo spent time in the Middle East living in both Syria and Lebanon, taking photos, studying Arabic and working for the UNRWA. He is now Project Manager at the U.S./Middle East Project.
